Description

Lemon Verbena (Aloysia Triphylla) is a relaxing herb with an intense lemon flavour.

You don't need alcohol to unwind - this herb will do it for you with NO hangover.

A native of South America, Lemon Verbena was taken to Europe by the Spanish in the seventeenth century and used largely for its perfumed oil.

Uses
Culinary :

Can be used to add lemon flavouring to recipes without the acidity found in lemons and is extensively used in herbal teas.

Medicinal / Health :

Stress, anxiety and tension relief - infuse 2 or 3 leaves in boiling water for a sedative drink, which can also be useful to soothe nasal and bronchial congestion. Infusions of lemon verbena are found in natural cosmetics and creams.

Occult :

Used in purification baths, added to other herbal mixtures to increase effectiveness. Worn in bed to prevent dreaming.

Other :

Great addition to pot-pourri and linen sachets.
